Howdy everybody. So this whole summer has been pretty sweet so far and I love working in digital production every day, but why is it when I get a day off it has to be dreary and raining outside?!
I call shenanigans! At least I got to do some fun things earlier this summer, karaoke, parties, bowling, movies, baseball games, and concerts. The awesomeness was everywhere! The gaming news at E3 wasn't too great though, last year was a lot more exciting for sure. I mean, Wii U? U serious? lol and the 3DS price drop, for shame Nintendo, for shame. Hopefully there will eventually be some games worth buying otherwise I'm done with handhelds. I'm looking forward to Resistance 3, and MW3, hopefully we'll get some more bad-ass hedgehog grenades! Speaking of hedgehogs, Sonic Generations is shaping up to be one of the best Sonic games I've seen for some time. I'm a bit more hyped for the modern stages since I played the classic demo and I felt that classic sonic didn't handle as great as I would like, it's not unplayable or anything, it just feels a little off. Colors was great, but I feel that the Sonic Unleashed Sonic handled a bit better than the Colors one. Recently I have been playing that new puzzle game Catherine, holy shit that game kicked my ass! It was still a great time though, there are still more endings to see so I guess I'll be playing that for a while. Jumping back into the Sonic world, the Sonic comics have been great these past couple of months! "Genesis" really got the look of the old games down and the story is simple enough for anyone to pick up and read. Sonic Universe has a great prison break story going on with the anti-Sonic Scourge, a nice change of pace to see the villain get such a big story! Mega Man is also kickin ass this summer, literally, those robot masters got their asses handed to em! O yea, WHY THE F*** IS MEGA MAN 10 SO DAMN HARD AND WHY IS PAC MAN ON CRACK! No matter, it's all good. BTW has anyone watched the series Clannad? It's so good and so sad, I'm at a point where if I hear the sad music I start getting shivers up my spine, yup, not down, up! Give it a try if you like drama-romance-comedy anime. I started watching Angel Beats! it's pretty damn funny so far, but nothing is gonna top the "I LIKE TURTLES" line from HOTD, or "Who is she, SARAH FREAKIN PALIN?!" hilarious. Anyway, I don't know exactly why I am actually writing a journal, perhaps this is one great way to preserve my summer memories. Or I'm just bored, guess I'll start drawing now.
Thanks to anyone who actually bothers to read this entry, it doesn't matter if u do or not, it's just a little of my summer. A good year, a good new beginning.
